
And just like that…NY is on top, Yankees are Back where they belong, chasing Championships.
I wanted to get a personal message out to all our New York friends before this World Series because it is quite the moment in time.
Odds are 50/50 with LA being a beast, but we can sense the wins coming, the Yankees Ghosts are stirring. Can’t help but feel the 1994 in the air, 30 years later.
Half way in btwn, It’s been 15 years since the last World Series win and for Blue&Cream we have been around through all of that, yet with all this experience, over here we feel so so fresh.
Talking fashion…Following a winning summer season, we got back to work in the city. While the Hamptons remained quite active, there’s so much to do every weekend, and many friends moved out after the Pandemic so the Hamptons has never enjoyed a more “year round” buzz than this Fall season. At our flagship in Easthampton, we make sure to showcase our best and we are very much keeping the summer momentum through the Fall, open 7 days a week even with that feeling of “winter is coming”.
But in NYC, 80 degree late October days, buzz on the streets, at Bleecker and Madison, we are suddenly blowing past both stores’ Sophomore seasons, and even while new stores and “competitors” spring up everywhere around us, we shine in comparison.
The seeds we planted in the pandemic are coming to fruition, and our product mix has greatly evolved from the Bowery Days. I mean I dont think anyone is wearing a Herve Leger dress right now (?) And the Pandemic cozies are giving way to smart, sharp, put together styling from Head 2 Toe. We may not all be in the office, but everyone is in the streets.
After 21 years we keep the feeling of discovery fresh for our clients, and great things are happening on the mens+womens side. Most notably our localized merch programs are on fire, if you are in our hood, you know the deal, iykyk. UPTOWN CULTURE on MADISON AVE and BLEECKER PLAYGROUND down in the West Village, no matter where you are at it is NEW YORK OR NOTHING.

I leave it to the in store shoppers to experience the very best of our Designer mix, because how we do it differently is somewhat of a proprietary secret, that special mix that keeps us hot after 21 years… But something I do like to share digitally (online) is how much our in-house Blue&Cream brand has grown for men; styled with Italian luxury, Blue&Cream is an elevated American Contemporary fashion BRAND in every category from luxe tees to fine shirting, knits and cashmere, and outerwear. Available online and in store, real ones know. We put it together with luxurious Italian menswear from the likes of Aspesi, Boglioli, and the widest selection of Jacob Cohen denim in New York.

On the Womens “side”, we are most proud to feature exclusively, The Tile Club which has grown from a Cashmere sets line launched in the Pandemic to the fabulous next Great, a Made in NY Fashion Brand. You crushed on terry sets, and terry dresses, alongside poplin sets all summer, and for Fall 2024 we most recently launched brushed twill sets for chic styling with a flannel feel and luxe fabrics like Herringbone for Fall. The undeniable trend of a warm weather Fall 2024, has been Silk sets featuring the silk maxi skirt, and soon you’ll be seeing luxe oversize cashmere cardigans with cashmere maxi skirts everywhere. In-store, Women are pairing The Tile Club back to Nili Lotan bottoms, and wearing it with their favorite TWP. It is fresh and The Tile Club is only available @blueandcream. In true Blue&cream style, this all happened organically, we didnt set out to take over the fashion world but organically, we are on the way.Â

You can understand why I feel this season is our own little Championship season, we’re taking a victory lap from the Summer but we keep grinding the wins everyday. Afterall, we are New Yorkers, we cant stop, we wont stop, and you are all coming with us on this ride!
